This route starts south of St Elmo and heads up Hancock Pass, which is rocky and has some narrow sections. Once you cross the Continental Divide, you'll descend to the start of Tomich Pass. Take this down through Whitepine, then jump on Old Monarch Pass CR237 which will take you to Highway 50 by the ski area.
